Crocodile hunting
More and more I'm thinking Universal bought up the bin of plastic toys in front of the register at Toys R Us. Or else they went to the fair and got really, really lucky.
Here we have a plastic crocodile, which I'm pretty sure never appeared in the film. Maybe it was the assistant to one of the dinos? Anyway, it is signed by Alan Tudyk and that's always good.

Lame.
I agree with Gojiro. I really respect and trust the Prop Store of London, but I don't believe these were in ANY way associated with Serenity. SOmeone sold them a false bill of goods on that lot.
Even if it were in the movie, selling a ten-cent plastic toy for $300 bucks is ludicrous. You could buy a plastic alligator and have Alan sign it at Dragon*Con for $20.

"A signed toy dinosaur used in the sci-fi adventure Serenity. This plastic toy crocodile came to us from Universal bagged and labelled as one of Wash’s dinosaurs, although we haven’t been able to identify it on screen ourselves. The prop has been signed by Alan Tudyk the actor that plays Wash at a recent convention. Wash has several different toy dinosaurs balanced on his control panel onboard the ship in the movie. The small toy measures 6.5cm x 3cm (2.5" x 1.25”)"
The Prop Store was able to identify at least one of the dinos they got from Universal as being in the movie. They showed a clip from the movie with the dino circled.
I bet they didn't come from Universal signed and the Prop Store went to a convention and had them signed.
I bet they had some of their staff go through the movie and try to find each dino.
Some fan of Wash will buy the dino because they can't get to a convention and want a real signature and not a fake off the internet and whatever paperwork comes with it. Fans have been buying them. The dinos keep
disappearing. So some Browncoats are happy the Prop Store saved those dinos.
I'm just glad the Prop Store saved as much of Serenity props as they did….otherwise they would be in the trash or waiting in a junk yard never to be found. Unlike the Ariel Ambulance from Firefly that was found in a junk yard and saved by a Browncoat!

HA! I always laugh uncontrolably whenever they post a new one. When was this croc in Serenity?!!
