Author: …and they were at the Tampa Can't Stop the Serenity event. The one I was going to. Which I missed. Due to traffic.
I'm not bitter. I'm delighted for Paul Domalavage who won a cabin berth for two on the Browncoat Cruise this December. The cruise will be traveling to Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada, Mexico, and cruisers will be accompanied by several Whedony friends including Ron "Book" Glass and Michael "Niska" Fairman. There's still openings, so head on over and get your tickets now.
Just don't get stuck in traffic. Mutter mutter mutter…

This is indeed very cool news – I was at the Tampa CSTS and remember how excited Paul was that a) he won and b) his name was pronounced right – He's definitely going to have a blast on the cruise.
The Tampa CSTS event is turning into quite the shiny little shindig…for an event that almost didn't happen, we raised a kindly sum of cash, and the event has also spawned a new little community (which Paul is a part of and, in interest of full disclosure, I am the webmaster of, at tbbrowncoats.org, so if anyone wants to send him a congrats, come on over, there's plenty of room!)
It's a rare thing for a cancelled TV show to become anything, let alone a movie…or a cruise!
I really, *really* wish I was going to be in town while that was taking place… It would be all manner of cool to go on a cruise with the entire ship filled with people interested in Firefly, much less Book and Niska themselves
