Download "Done the Impossible" for free, now, legally
The "Done the Impossible" folks, already supremely cool just for attempting this massive thing, have gone one step further and made the documentary available as a free bit torrent. You can get it right now!
The reasons they listed at legaltorrents.com are basically "Copyright laws are too restrictive," and "someone's gonna do it anyway, might as well be us." The torrent contains the documentary, not all the tons of additional stuff, so this serves as more or less a huge ad for the actual DVD.
This PvP release is protected by a Creative Commons copyright so you can share it and edit it all you like, just please observe the license and don't rip 'em off. And please stop by donetheimpossible.com and pick up the DVD (that contains literally hours of extra stuff) and the soundtrack.
Download it here (torrent software required)
Or thanks to the ever lovely gossi, watch it streaming live online at serenitymovie.com .
Done the Impossible due to ship in July
"Done the Impossible," the DVD by, about, and for the fans of the greatest TV show and movie in history, is creeping closer and closer to completion. This is a monster of a project, with hours and hours of stuff packed in (including my interview with Serenity graphic designer Geoff Mandel) and it's been eagerly awaited for nearly a year now.
Just posted on donetheimpossible.com: "And now for the news you probably been waiting for. A release date!…sort of. Barring any unforeseen tragedies, we will be shipping DVDs *BEFORE* Comic-Con on July 20th (yes this year… sheesh), probably sooner."
Woo hoo!
Adam and Jewel are Doing the Impossible
Production update about the upcoming Firefly/Serenity fan DVD, "Done the Impossible:" it sounds even better than we thought it would.
"In looking back at the news, it looks like we never formally announced that Adam Baldwin is hosting our DVD. So consider this the official announcement. We shot our hosting bits with him back in December, the day before Flanvention. He was so cool to work with. The consummate professional.
