Let's be bad guys… in Jayne's clothes

propjaynecostumeNew — again — at the Prop Store of London, a stunt costume for Jayne in the bank heist scene. This has been marked as sold for some time and is now available, so maybe the deal didn't go through and it's back on the market? If so, now's your chance.

A stunt costume worn by Jayne in the sci-fi adventure Serenity. This costume was worn during the high action bank heist scenes near the beginning of the film. It consists of a blue t-shirt with a Japanese design on the front (labelled ‘Casey Stunt Jayne’), a pair of green combat trousers (labelled ‘Stunt DBL Jayne).

If nothing else, go check out the closeups to get the details on the shirt.

I really wanted those beans

ebay_beansOK, this is new. Someone on eBay is selling "Tracey's beans" from the episode "The Message," complete with a can opener and Independents Army ration card.

Each can comes complete with its own P-38 Can Opener attached and an Independent Army ration Card, ready for you to fill out. Not something you can find on the store shelf all the time.

(Not actual screen used props, just the same type as used in the series. Except for the ration card. I made that, thought it looked cool.)

I love stuff like this. Don't wait for some purplebelly to sneak up behind you, go get your bean-eating badge!

Update: check the comments for some tips on this auction. Thanks!

Dress like a warrior woman

props_serenity-zoetoptrousOver at the Prop Store, Zoe seems to be going through her closet.

A costume worn by Zoe (Gina Torres) in the sci-fi adventure Serenity. This fantastic costume was worn by Zoe in scenes at the very end of the film. It consists of a pair of brown trousers and an pink coloured long sleeved top with poppers that fasten under the crotch. No sizes marked.

You can tell it's for Zoe cuz her name is written inside the collar. I'm guessing Wash did that, to avoid mishaps.

Now available at the Prop Store of London.

Next Halloween, be a Reaver

prop_reavermask2The Prop Store of London is still digging out Serenity props for you. This one's a Reaver mask, and it's ready for your really creepy display.

This contorted face belongs to one of the cannibalistic humans who have been driven mad with the vastness of space seen pillaging planets and other spaceships, torturing and killing anyone who stands in their way, until they are faced with River (Summer Glau)…The rubber mask had foam latex detailing of the mutilated face, with the skin self peeled and pinned. There is a small light underneath the face that gives the frame an eerie glow, operated via a simple slide switch. The mask comes custom framed with a laser cut mount board featuring the film’s title and two movie stills. The display measures 37cm x 67cm (14.5” x 26.25”) .

Shock your friends with an Alliance shockrod

Made from machined aluminium with the handle and stripes on the other end anodised black. The tip of the prop has a white ascending light inside which is activated when a tiny button on the side of the handle is depressed. It measures 43cm (17") in length. The prop was not used in the final cut of the film.

Own the original Jayne hat

Stop paying attention for a few days and look what happens… One of the choicest bits of Serenity Stuff ever goes on sale, and for a good cause, to boot. Or, more accurate, to hat.

The original, screen-used, Adam-Baldwin-wearing Jayne hat is up for auction thanks to the man himself and the California Browncoats.  Proceeds go toward the Marine Corp – Law Enforcement Foundation to "encourage the spiritual, moral, intellectual and physical development of children through education." This is a group that Adam has supported for some time now.

And your cash will go straight to 'em. Per the Cali Browncoats:

95% of the proceeds of this auction will go to MC-LEF.  The remaining 5% will go toward covering some of the eBay and Paypal fees.  The California Browncoats will pay any remaining fees in addition to donating their services in carrying out these auctions.  If there is any of the 5% left over after fees, we will donate it to MC-LEF.

So don't miss out on your chance to own possibly the most iconic prop in the whole damn 'verse. Plus you'll look incredibly cunning, guaranteed.
